HW! 09/reflection

Day Nine
9 Day Reflection

Here I am going to tell you about the last nine days of intersession. First I am am going to say that I had a really great experience throughout these two weeks and I learned a lot. I loved working with everyone and I loved how the Gaga pit turned out. So thank you. Next I am going to go through how each day went and what we did. On the first day all we did was math. We worked on our angles, perimeter and area, that was pretty much it. To be honest I was bored out of my skull. Day two was not very different we did math and other boring stuff, we eventually got to cut some wood with hand saws but that was so tiring and took forever. Day three was the first day of real work we had to measure the wood to the right size and then we got to use miter saws. It was pretty fun and I was so excited to get started. Day four was tiring we painted all day and by the end of it I was cover in bright blue paint my shoes we ruined. everything had to be painted except the plywood, that would mean we would be painting the 4''x6''x10'', 2''x4''x8'', 2''x4''x10'', and the  2''x6''x10'. Day five was just touching up on the blue pieces of wood and painting the big plywood yellow. I you are wondering why we painted the wood blue and yellow, that is because they are school colors. Day six was very tiring because we had to find out a place for the Gaga pit to go, the spot we had originally put it in was illegal and we could get fined. So we had to move around these billion pound pieces o wood until we found a spot for it to go then we started t screw in the studs to support the plywood that was to go over it. Day seven we started nailing everything together, drilling was fun but it was hard to keep the screw straight. We had a lot of mess ups  and even had to do one whole board over. Day eight there is not much to do so we start off the day with a nice long game of Gaga, then got to work we touched up the scratched paint on any of the wood and finished any nailing or screwing needed. Day nine the corhole group needed help finishing their sowing, so half the day we spent sowing up corn hole bags, then we went outside to play with them and they busted, just great. That was my nine day reflection.

HW! 07

DAY SEVEN

Q: IF YOU HAVE 27 2X4 PIECES OR LUMBER STACKED IN THREE PILES RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER WHAT WOULD BE THE TOTAL WIDTH AND HEIGHT?

A: I THINK THAT THE WITH WOULD BE ABOUT 10''1/2 INCHES  AND THE HEIGHT WOULD BE ABOUT 13"1/2 INCHES!

Q: WHAT WAS THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE FOR YOU TODAY AND HOW DID YOU OVERCOME IT?

A: TODAY THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE FOR ME WERE TOUCH UPS, I THOUGHT WE WERE GOING TO USE PAINT BRUSHES TO TOUCH UP THE WOOD. BUT NO WE WERE USING QUE TIPS! I KNOW, I KNOW CRAZY! WELL THE QUE TIPS DIDN'T WORK SO WELL, I DECIDED TO USE MY HANDS. I DIPPED MY FINGERS INTO THE PAINT BUCKET AND SLAPPED THEM ON THERE. LATER MY HANDS WERE ALL MESSY FOR MY SOFTBALL GAME, WITCH WE LOST, TOO BAD!

Q: IN DETAIL EXPLAIN WHAT YOUR PLANS FOR TOMORROW ARE!

A: MY PLANS FOR TOMORROW ARE TO FINISH ALL TOUCH UPS ON EVERYTHING AND FINISH SCREWING INTO THE TOP BOARDS JUST IN CASE ANYONE MESSED UP! THEN WE WILL BE DONE!

HW! 06

Day Six

Q: What are the challenges you have faced today and how did you overcome them?

A: Today one challenge we faced was a good place for the Gaga Pit to go the only place that fit was illegal. So we had to move the wood that I felt weighed about 1,000lbs when we finally got it into the right place some of the wood wasn't the right size! And it was soooo hot outside! I was melting in the sun.

Q: What was your favorite part of the day today?

A: My favorite part of today was when we got to use the power drills and got to drill the strong ties into the wood. I loved drilling and seeing the progress we had made it was so cool!

HW! 05

Day five
Q: Explain one challenge that you had this week and how you overcame it?
A: I didn't run into any major challenges this week, the only thing when we were painting it was so hot out side and the paint got everywhere, I just had to suck that one up!
Q: What accomplishments are you proud of and why are you proud of them?
A: I was most proud of myself when my crew finished all of our measuring and double checked it
all before lunch, I thought measuring would be hard and I was glad we got it done quickly!
Q: What is the next step into completing your project and how will you get there?
A: The next step into finishing my project is to build and put the Gaga Pit together, To get there we will take the wood screw it together thus creating a stable room almost!
